Lincoln City to Newport
We spent the first night at the Inn at Spanish Head, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary. I remember my parents staying there in the ’70s! The disadvantage of staying at Spanish Head is that all units are individually owned condos and decorated according to their owner’s taste/finances and this could go contrary to your own tastes or the unit just may be too outdated for your liking. The advantage to staying there is location. The Inn at Spanish Head is unique in that it is built into the cliff face and all rooms look directly out over the ocean. The entrance lobby is on the 9th floor and the restaurant is on the top floor (10th).
You can see how the Inn at Spanish Head is built into the cliff in the photo to the right.
We decided on Salishan for the second night, which was our actual anniversary. We picked a premier bay room.
